Clearwell Castle - Regal Bow & Brooch

This elegant, sophisticated design was created for a lovely couple who were married at the historic Clearwell Castle. The four tier cake featured simple satin ribbons to each tier and a hand tied bow to the third tier. The design was accented with a handmade brooch - consisting of Swarovski crystals, pearls and diamantes - a beautiful keepsake to be treasured as a memory of the special day. The ribbon, regal in colour, sat beautifully against the amazing leaded windows at the venue. The cake consisted of tiers of rich, indulgent fruit cake, light, moist Victoria sponge and luscious, zingy lemon sponge.

Celtic Manor Cupcakes

The bride selected a combination of mini-cakes and cupcakes, topped with a traditional top tier, which was displayed on a seven tier acrylic display stand. The colour palette for the event featured ivory and fuchsia pink accented with plenty of sparkle. The couple wanted to include the sparkly brooches that featured on the place settings at the marquee venue, and requested that each of the individual cakes be decorated with handmade icing roses, small flowers and bows. The bride wanted to add sparkle and as such each cupcake was decorated to add a special twinkle which would be especially effective when viewed in the feature lighting of the evening celebrations. The cupcakes and mini cakes were a selection of Victoria sponge with vanilla butter cream and raspberry conserve filling and lusciously zingy lemon sponge with a lemoncello butter cream filling. The top tier, a traditional fruit cake coupled with the mini -cakes and cupcakes was the perfect option to embrace the traditional cake cutting ceremony whilst offering the more modern, fun sharing element synonymous with cupcakes.

Bryngarw House Wedding

Kelly wanted a cake that would create a wow as soon as guests entered the room and therefore selected a five tier design. Key to the brief was a white and silver theme that incorporated Swarovski crystal elements to give a sophisticated, luxurious and glamorous air. The cake itself was white with hand piped jewel detailing to the first, third, fourth and fifth tiers. The second tier was decorated with a silver - grey satin bow adorned with a handmade Swarovski crystal brooch. The third and fourth tiers were separated by a bespoke stand decorated with Swarovski crystal droplets which sparkled in the delicate lighting provided by the chandeliers at the venue. The Swarovski crystal elements in the design echoed the crystals that cascaded from the stunning floral displays that graced each table. The cake itself included tiers of Victoria sponge, luscious lemon drizzle cake, decadent rich Belgian chocolate cake and spiced carrot cake each tier containing a scrumptious filling to compliment the cake flavours.
