Inspired by the romantic period drama, Downton Abbey - lace, cameos, bows, pearls and roses, a perfect birthday gift.

Vintage Sunflowers

This single tier and cupcakes in hues of ivory and pale green were accentuated with a pop of sunshine yellow from the icing sunflowers. The design of the top tier included vintage lace, pearls and icing sunflowers with the cupcakes including a myriad of cameos, bows, pearls, lace, sunflowers and Gatsby style gents tuxedos.

Vintage Parisian Chic

This design was largely influenced by the lace of the bridal gown and the vintage ambiance of the day. The top cake featured hand-piped lace brush embroidery which was accented with a cascading vintage lace bow. The vintage styled cupcakes in hues of ivory and pink featured hand made icing cameos, roses, shoes, bows and pearls with tuxedo style cupcakes for the male guests. 

Cupcakes & Shoes!

Jenna & Stephen's cake featured a top tier with handmade bride & groom cake topper, mini cakes and cupcakes all displayed on a statuesque acrylic stand. Each of the mini cakes were decorated with lace and handmade icing shoes and cameos. The cupcakes were decorated with handmade icing roses, blossoms, ruffled flowers, bows and cameos in hues of ivory and shots of fuchsia pink.

Celtic Inspired Wedding Cake

This design, created for Craig & Laura, featured handmade icing roses and narcissus and a hand painted Celtic knot motif. The two tier main cake was complimented by co-ordinating cupcakes, and was displayed on vintage glass cake stands with a selection of cupcakes nonchalantly placed around the main display. The overall rustic simplicity was perfect for a spring wedding.

Lesley & Steve - vintage elegance

So "en vogue" at the moment is the vintage theme - this time in hues of ivory and burgundy. This cake was created for a couple where the Bride loved fruit cake and the Groom loved Victoria sponge - the solution, a fruit top tier combined with Victoria and lemon sponge cupcakes. The top tier included handmade sugar roses, open roses, tulips, hydrangea blossoms and greenery to replicate the floral displays that adorned the Glen yr Afon House Hotel, and was completed with a handmade, icing bow. The cupcakes, incorporated various vintage nods including pearls, bows, lace and of course flowers. Vintage French Wedding

I love hat boxes and what better excuse to use them than a vintage French theme? Delicate pink and gold hues,  lace,  shoes and distressed metal elements - oh la la! Mini cakes and cupcakes displayed with your wedding cake create an impact and allow elements of a theme to be included subtley.

Vintage tea party

This vintage inspired cake in hues of peach and ivory would be perfect for the current trend of "the tea party". This design comprises of a pretty three tier cake with handmade sugar flowers and delicate vintage lace all displayed on a pressed glass stand. Why not accessorise your cake with vintage china, a lace table cloth and pearls to give that extra vintage essence? Mini cakes and cupcakes decorated with handmade icing cameos, shoes, ruffles and flowers complete the vintage look.

Vintage Dessert Table

 

This dessert table was designed to co-ordinate with the vintage birdcage wedding cake that the bride fell for during her initial consultation. The table included mini-birdcage cakes, vintage cupcakes and mini cupcakes, birdhouse cookies with handwritten tags, handmade chocolates and sweets all complemented by vintage tea cups, a pretty birdcage, cut glass vintage cake stands and dainty posy vases. The colour theme featured hues of cream and greyish blue which sat beautifully against the backdrop of Peterstone Court with it's stunning period features. Vintage Roses & Lace

This design encapsulates all things vintage but with a modern twist and co-ordinated beautifully with the stunning setting of Peterstone Court and the fabulous floral displays created by the amazing Love Lily. The design featured a double tier top cake, mini-cakes and cupcakes contained in pretty vintage lace cases all in hues of cream and dusky pink. The main cake was accented with multi-tonal, handmade icing roses, petals and blossoms which were complemented by hand-piped pearls, and dusky pink satin ribbon overlayed with vintage lace. The mini-cakes and cupcakes were decorated with an eclectic mix of handmade roses, blossoms and pearls, again complemented by hand-piped embroidery and pearls. The cake and co-ordinating minis and cupcakes included decadent chocolate, Victoria and zingy lemon flavours.

Vintage Bird Cage Dessert Table at The Glen yr Afon

This dessert table, created for Aimee and Dave, featured a four-tier birdcage cake and a myriad of sweet treats for the guests to enjoy. The display, in addition to the main cake, featured mini birdcage cakes, birdcage cupcakes, mini-cupcakes, pink ombre Victoria sponge cakes topped with fresh strawberries, birdcage cookies, retro striped pink cakes with butter cream swirls, handmade chocolate hearts, handmade meringues and handmade coconut ice all in pastel hues. The table was adorned with a vintage style birdcage featuring flickering tea lights, vintage posy vases with sprigs of flowering rosemary, vintage tea cup and saucer with pearls complete with mini gift cracker and striking traditional vintage apothecary jars. The display, in conjunction with the amazing birdcage table centres created by the wonderful Love Lily completed the beautiful settings at the Glen yr Afon House Hotel to create a truly magical setting.

Vintage Inspiration

These cupcakes and mini-cakes are perfect for the current trend of Vintage themed weddings. The cupcakes, in shades of pink, ivory and aqua are accented with handmade icing flowers, brooches, bows and pearls. The mini cakes in cream hues also feature handmade icing bows, flowers and hand-piped pearls. Stunning when displayed as part of a vintage dessert table, on a tiered acrylic stand or even boxed as a special thank you gift for your guests.

Vintage Cupcake Tower

This design, again featured at Wedding Fayres we have attended this year, offers the traditional cake option in conjunction with the modern trend for cupcakes and mini cakes all displayed on an acrylic stand. The three tier cake featured large, hand made ivory roses, cascading petals and blossoms and was accented with ivory lace and satin ribbons - perfect for the traditional cake cutting photograph. The mini cakes, again in hues of cream, were decorated with lace and ribbons to co-ordinate with the main cake and featured hand made flowers and bows. The cupcakes, both mini and standard size, were decorated with a swirl of butter cream and placed in a lace case in order to create cohesion with the main cake and mini cakes. This design offers endless options to incorporate themes, colours and cake flavours. In addition, this design offers the possibility of mini-cakes for the top table, cake or cupcakes for guests and mini-cupcakes for mini guests' little hands!

Victorian Pearls

This design features an array of cupcakes, mini-cakes and individual tower cakes all hand decorated in a Victorian inspired fashion. The scheme includes handmade icing pearls, flowers and lace in varying hues of cream for a simply elegant, rich feel.
