Lesley & Steve - vintage elegance

So "en vogue" at the moment is the vintage theme - this time in hues of ivory and burgundy. This cake was created for a couple where the Bride loved fruit cake and the Groom loved Victoria sponge - the solution, a fruit top tier combined with Victoria and lemon sponge cupcakes. The top tier included handmade sugar roses, open roses, tulips, hydrangea blossoms and greenery to replicate the floral displays that adorned the Glen yr Afon House Hotel, and was completed with a handmade, icing bow. The cupcakes, incorporated various vintage nods including pearls, bows, lace and of course flowers. Complementing the table display were Welsh cake favours with handwritten tags and ribbon to co-ordinate with the colour scheme - visit our Facebook page to see more.
